Kids ages 6-12 can learn the basics of using a sewing machine in our 4-week beginner's sewing course. While working on real projects, children will make "core" sewing items; meant to teach the necessary skills to advance into our longer apparel making courses. Projects include:
Students will take home everything they've made in the class and all supplies are included. Class will go over threading the sewing machine, pinning and cutting fabric, safely using the sewing machine all while making items they can use and wear!
Class time options:
Once students complete their core projects they are welcome to advance to our 4 or 8 week program. * Boys who join the sewing class will have the option of making a beanie hat in lieu of the headband and a t-shirt instead of the skirt.
